Blinds in schools

Over the past couple of months, we have been working behind the scenes on our ‘Blinds In Schools’ initiatives. With $50,000 worth of blinds to give away, we wanted to give back to those schools in our nearby community who are working tirelessly to provide the ultimate learning environments as they inspire our little leaders of tomorrow.

With East Tamaki School, Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate, and Ferguson Intermediate as the lucky recipients we set to work over the last school holidays installing our blinds as a little surprise to the students and teachers alike.

It’s safe to say, the initiative has been a resounding success. The positive feedback we have received from the schools has been overwhelming. With the common issue being light interfering with learning materials on projectors and whiteboards, it’s safe to say teaching should hopefully now be a little bit easier and students will be more engaged.

“We could not believe our luck when we received the call from Lance that our school would be so blessed to receive blinds for our classes at no charge. It was as if we had won lotto – Lesa Arthur, Ferguson Intermediate

“We felt very honoured to be selected for this amazing opportunity to upgrade our premises for the students, parents and teachers” – Shauna Eldridge, Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate

“The teachers have all commented on the difference they have made in the classrooms. Not only do they look great but they also help with the light glare on the whiteboards” – Sarah Mirams, East Tamaki School

We will be following up with a greater look at each of these wonderful schools, so keep an eye out!
